Is your social calendar packed,Indexbit or do you often find yourself looking for something to do?
Of course, not every day can be chock-full of fun-filled activities like visiting Shrek’s swamp, but that doesn't mean you need to become a couch potato. There's nothing wrong with binge-watching your favorite TV shows all evening or weekend, but it should be a choice, not your only option.
Thankfully, it’s easy to find new and exciting experiences happening near you, whether it’s a DIY caramel apple bar at a local winery, a screening of a classic holiday movie with a live orchestra or a book sale.
The world is your oyster and right there at your fingertips, and some activities don't even require you to leave your house!
Watch this video to see how to easily find things to do near you.
Fun things to do near me
Here are four places to discover a range of things happening near you:
By using the Events page, you can search for nearby activities, things in a different city, or something happening online.
The events option can be found on the left-hand sidebar or by visiting www.facebook.com/events.
The results can be filtered by date or preference. You can also see if any of your Facebook friends are interested or planning to attend.
- Websites like Eventbrite, SeatGeek, and Ticketmaster
You may have used one or two of these websites to purchase tickets for an event, but they’re also great for discovering events happening near you.
Plus, it’s super easy to get the tickets if you find something of interest.
If you’re purchasing tickets online, see if you can earn some cash back by using services like Rakuten or Honey.
- Groupon
Groupon has an entire section dedicated to things happening around you, with deals on activities at venues such as restaurants, theme parks, spas, and fitness centers.
You can also filter the results based on price, category, and ratings from people who previously purchased the deal.
Again, don't forget to see if your purchase qualifies for cash back.
- Airbnb experiences
Many of us are familiar with Airbnb as the site to book a place to stay, but that isn’t all they do anymore.
They also offer experiences that you can book to enjoy in a new location, your hometown, or right there in the comfort of your own home.
Filters allow you to filter by language, accessibility, and time of day, so everyone can join in the fun.
